Nowadays, students in petroleum major needs a lots of knowledge not only getting from lecture but also from experience, because in usual, experience can be accepted easily by students.
  As we know that the development of Geothermal Technology is rising day by day. Chevron Geothermal Energy Ltd. is one of company that very concern with it and has efforts to make more and more inventions. We are very interested in this new technology because in petroleum industries, new technology can help to improve recovery so automatically we can get lots of benefits.
 Moreover we need to know every development or innovation to stay up to date, so we have bargaining to contribute in oil industry. Therefore SPE SC ITB has a plan to make a field trip in Chevron Geothermal Energy Ltd.. Through this proposal, we would like to invite your company for being a sponsor that can provide accommodation for 50 people that can support this program.
Once we had arrived at Chevron Geothermal Darajat, we were directly welcomed by the head of security thereMr. Sutriyadi. Then we use the busses from The company to get the main facility. The Asset Manager, Mr. Dion Kumboroand  Production Engineer Mr. SigitWinarno and EndikSudarmanpresented us about safety induction and geothermal overview. The presentation took about two hours. After that, we were pleased to ask any questions. Then we had a warm discussion between participant and the presenter for about 30 minutes. Mr. Arias Sugandhiprovided us with clear answers and explanation.
 After that we were divided into two groups, considering we already been divided in to two busses when we headed to Darajat form Bandung. While the first group were having lunch break the other group were guided by Mr. FikriTamani and Mr. SigitWinarno to see the unit facilities around the place. Before we went to the facilities we were supplied with safety equipment such as ear plug, helmet, glasses, and shoes. We use safety earplug because the turbine in the facilities generate high frequency sound that would disturbed our hearing. In the facilities there was a control room that is fully computerize that control all of the turbines. This control room is maintained by human operator. We got a great explanation by the lead engineer about how to facilty works everyday. In the last stop of the tour we are guided to the water cooling building. After that we had lunch break and exchange with the other group.
The activity then continue to the well site. To arrive at this place we need to use the busses and head to open field. In this site the engineers explain how the vapor from the well site transferred to the main facilities. To get to this site one must be equipped by safety equipment. Finally, we ende up our visit on 4 p.m and went back to bandung.

Blood is the main part of human body that flow every single minute every single day. It stop flowing if our heart stop and that’s the end of our life. Many people have several problems with blood which is not healthy or harmful that’s why blood must be replaced or does transfusion. Until now, blood demand is larger than blood supply. PMI as the supplier of blood can only supply less than 75 % of blood demand in Indonesia. for this reason, that’s why we have to improve blood supply in our country to help Indonesia an even the world to stay healthy. Being blood donor will have some advantages that make you healthier. They are heart stroke risk decrease, reduce cholesterols in body, and recycle blood to make it fresh. It is good to be blood donor at least twice a year to have better body. In this opportunity, SPE will be known public as society which is very care to the world. We will also introduce them what SPE is and what advantage if they join SPE. This is the best way to make SPE known largely.
On 9 am 23 Feb 2012, PMI arrived with their medical tools to conduct blood donor. Before the event started, Adrian Hartadi and Romario Becken Bauer as project manager and vice project manager give little speech to participants. They explain why blood donor is very important and healthy for us. We explain what SPE is, how they works and how this organization works. We invite the participants to join SPE because they will have a lot of advantage in joining SPE. In the end of closing speech, we sang Indonesia Raya together to remind us that we have to contribute to Indonesia. On 9.30 am the event started, all the committee invite the others to do blood donor. We invite them by explaining why blood donor is healthy. This is the best way for inviting them to do blood donor. During blood transfusing, we took pictures, sharing about SPE, about petroleum engineering so they not only give blood but also got knowledge about petroleum engineering.
In the end of event, we give the closing speech, very brief, but we said thank you to all the committee, SPE , PMI, God, and all the participants who were very contributing in the event. We got 111 participants, and it was very surprising because we just predicted only 70 participants we would get. We also made 90 new member of SPE from this event.
